Subject:                                         9-2-26 THOUGHTS

 

We approach one of the great writings in the history of mankind.  Every word is meaningful and powerful to our position in life.  Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.   Help us to be good sheep who know our Shepherd intimately. This psalm is about what God does for us.  We must forever contemplate a right response.  We must diligently and powerfully pursue our God who gives and guards.

Ps 23:1-6    The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.   2  He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.  3  He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. 4  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.  5  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. 6  Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
 
Our Prayer:
Father, help us to take these words and store them up in our hearts. May we see Your tender desire and love for us, and may we love You back with our ALL.  We want to dwell in Your house forever, O God.  Help us to be good and following sheep.  May  we know Your voice!
